MATT HULL | EXECUTIVE CHEF

A lifelong resident of Virginia, Matt was raised among a family of cooks and gardeners. Many happy childhood summers were spent picking (and canning) produce from his grandparent’s farm. As a student, he was active in Future Farmers of America, even serving as the President of his local chapter. Today, Matt finds great pleasure crafting menus that feature the extraordinary ingredients of the Shenandoah Valley, and getting to know, visit, and collaborate with local farmers and purveyors. Matt graduated from the Culinary Institute of Virginia in 2011, and joined Zynodoa as a line cook in 2015. Since that time, he’s passionately and creatively worked his way up and now serves as Executive Chef. Matt points to several farm-fresh culinary locations as his most current culinary muses – Husk in SC, Miller Union in GA, and Blue Hill in NY. Matt spends his free time exploring Virginia’s rapidly exploding craft brewery scene and playing guitar.

JESSICA GOODE | GENERAL MANAGER

Jessica started her career in the hospitality industry, at Marriott International in 2006. She was rapidly promoted through a series of positions with the company. Her career with Marriott took her from Park City, UT to Boston, MA where she was named “Director of Services” for their historic landmark hotel property, the Boston Downtown Courtyard.
In 2013, Jessica moved to Virginia to begin working at Zynodoa, where she expanded her hospitality knowledge by developing strong connections with customers, local farmers, wineries, and breweries. After training in all positions and working with many of the restaurant’s producers, Jessica was named General Manager in 2014.

MACON GURLEY | BEVERAGE MANAGER

Macon Gurley grew up with a mother who was a self taught chef and restaurant owner. After studying at the Pratt Institute in NYC, Macon made her way to the food and beverage world, bartending at Blue Talon Bistro in Williamsburg, Virginia where she had her first taste with experimental cocktails. She collaborates with the kitchen team to make from-scratch cocktails using fresh and seasonal ingredients. She is also known for her exceptional wine pairings and a plethora of creative talents including graphic design, music, and cooking.
